General Polymers Certified Contractor Program

The General Polymers product line business is based upon a partnership with contractors whose business is dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. Sherwin-Williams is actively promoting our documented network of Certified Contractors to specifiers and owners as we create demand in new construction and renovation work. Owners and architects understand that a Certified Contractor for General Polymers Systems demonstrates good business practices, exhibits quality installation skills and maintains a customer-oriented attitude. Our Certified Contractors understand the importance of evaluating the substrate’s suitability for the system to be installed, including moisture vapor evaluation, concrete repair and appropriate surface preparation. The value you bring to the job includes assessing, communicating and documenting when the substrate, environmental conditions, or schedule will adversely affect the system being installed. This service will ultimately save the owner time and money by preventing problems rather than fixing failures.

The three building blocks upon which we construct the Certified Contractor Program are their business organizational and financial soundness, flooring product knowledge, and installation experience.

Companies who wish to become Certified Contractors for the General Polymers brand will be interviewed by the local representatives to verify and evaluate the operations, past experience and business focus. If product training is required, the job site supervisor will be scheduled for a training class. Finally, verification of expertise and General Polymers System installation competence is supported by three (3) job references to qualify for Certification.
